Who We Are

Colin & Chip

Colin and Chip are sometimes referred to by clients as Baltimore’s “best kept secret” when it comes to finding a qualified financial advisor.  Their practice accepts new clients mostly by word of mouth and enthusiastic referrals from their existing clients.  They do very little advertising, and have grown to be one of the premier planning firms in the area (while competing in a pretty tough area with all the big banks, brokerages, insurance agencies, etc).

With a combined 28 years of experience, Colin and Chip pride themselves on basic principals of treating people right, telling it like it is – regardless if it results in getting new business or a new client, and making financial planning a simple and enjoyable process.

They’ve become known for their fun and always exciting client appreciation events, monthly referral contests, candid videos, and overall way that they treat their clients.  It’s the little things that drive business away, and they’re committed to taking care of their clients first, everything else comes second.

Because they are both independent Certified Financial Planners (ie, not tied to a bank, brokerage firm, or insurance company) they can truly run a practice that has their clients’ best interest at the front of every important decision that needs to be made.

Do you feel like your current advisor is trying to sell you something every time you meet?   Are you hesitant to call him/her on phone because he’ll talk over your head, feed you the company line or confuse you?  Or even worse, will he call you back (this is Colin’s BIGGEST pet peeve)?  Has your advisor ever explained to you how you pay fees and how he gets paid?  Would knowing the answers to these questions make you feel more comfortable in dealing with an advisor?  Maybe a little straight talk is in order.

Colin and Chip make sure their clients know what’s going on, every step of the way.  They wont pass you off to an assistant, the new guy, or someone you’ve never met.  If you are accepted as a client, you’ll deal directly with them, one on one.

If this approach sounds good to you, then maybe you should take the next step.  Give them a call, send an email, send up a flare, do whatever it takes to get in touch with them to see if you are a good fit for the practice.

They only accept a few new clients per month, so you may be placed on a waiting list.  The first step is to schedule a Discovery Meeting (no charge) to see if there is a good fit and chemistry for a long term relationship.
